The last two months have been a bit of a whirlwind for me. Stories Fading Fast opened at Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage earlier this month to rave reviews, amazing press and wonderful attendance – soon after opening, however, I had my nose to the grindstone producing a separate set of prints for a show opening at Millikin University. An Alternative Photography Invitational opens this Thursday in Decatur, Illinois from 5-7pm – and hangs for the entire month of February. It features 14 prints from the series – a selection of the set of 28 images on display at APU.
On top of that, initial plans for a February show in Seward have shifted – Stories Fading Fast will open at Resurrect Art on April 3rd now. This show represents my second show on the Kenai Peninsula and will (hopefully) precede an upcoming show in Homer – more details on that soon, hopefully! Seward’s show will feature the same set as the earlier Millikin show – a set of 14.
That said, the latest news for my developing tour is that Stories has been picked up by RealArt Gallery of DeRidder, Louisiana for its second opening in the Lower 48. In May, I’ll be showing mere miles from my old high school stomping ground of Leesville, Louisiana – home of the Wampus Cats.
I’m very excited about all the great opportunities that these shows are providing – and I look forward to seeing what the rest of 2015 brings.
