Never a dull moment around here! December looks like it’ll be a great month to see my work around the state, as I am part of three exhibits opening up in all three of Alaska’s major cities. As “Journeys” concludes in Montana, my joint exhibition with Tom Turner will be opening up at Anchorage’s Alaska Pacific University and I will be on-hand for its opening on December 6th. The same night, Rarefied Light opens in Fairbanks with two of my pictures featured, one as Best of Show. Currently, the location for the show is a bit up in the air after the Centennial Center for the Arts has been closed abruptly due to major maintenance issues.
But last night I received the wonderful news that two of my images had passed the second round of jurying in the Alaska Positive biennial traveling photographic art exhibit! This is the first time my work has been accepted into this show, which will travel throughout the state for the next TWO YEARS!
The two images featured will be on display at the Alaska State Museum in Juneau for the month of December. After that, Alaska Positive travels to:
Sheldon Jackson Museum, Sitka – March through May, 2020
Wasilla Museum and Visitor Center – June through September, 2020
University of Alaska Museum of the North, Fairbanks – October through November, 2020
Haines Sheldon Museum – December 2020 through February, 2021
Cordova Historical Museum – March through April, 2021
Valdez Museum – May through September, 2021
Tongass Historical Museum, Ketchikan, October through December, 2021
